GolfWorld Holiday Guide 2011 put Golfdotz at #7 on the list!

David Poole with IZOD IndyCar Series Driver Hideki Mutoh

Before Golfdotz were created, founder David Poole was involved full time in auto racing and has worked with both Michael and Mario Andretti in IndyCar and also Darrel Waltrip in NASCAR. Recently David was able to combine the past with current business at the IZOD IndyCar event in Japan, by securing Hideki Mutoh a drive in the #17 car of Sam Schmidt Racing. Custom Golfdotz were produced especially for Hideki and Golfdotz made quite an impact! Indeed fellow driver Alex Tagliani and several sponsors have since commissioned custom Golfdotz themselves.

RORY SABBATINI IS MAD FOR GOLFDOTZ

Innovative New Golf Ball Tattoos Are The Perfect Stocking Stuffer

Inverness, Illinois—With the holidays just around the corner, one of golf’s hottest new products—Golfdotz golf ball tattoos for men, women and children—stands out as the perfect stocking stuffer.

Golfdotz are durable golf ball tattoos that are easily applied to golf balls, offering golfers a smart and stylish alternative to messy markers and pens. Golfdotz are the creation of entrepreneur David Poole. The suggested retail price is $5.99 per two-dozen Golfdotz. They can be purchased at Golfsmith, Golf Galaxy and other retailers, as well as at www.golfdotz.com.

PGA Tour professional Rory Sabbatini was so smitten with Golfdotz that he recently asked Poole to create his own custom “dot”—the “Sabbatini Dragon” (pictured here). “Golfdotz are the most unique and interesting method of identifying a golf ball I’ve seen,” Sabbatini said.

Beth Bader and several other LPGA Tour professionals are also now using Golfdotz, prompting The Golf Girl blog to declare Golfdotz the “U.S. Women’s Open ‘it’ Accessory.” Golfdotz have been approved by both the USGA and R&A.

“It’s exciting to see tour professionals like Rory Sabbatini embracing Golfdotz,” Poole said. “I think it speaks to both the practical and aesthetic benefits of the product.”

Golfdotz come in a variety of designs, including shamrocks, flames, hearts, flowers, cats, dogs, targets, bombs, skulls, aliens, scorpions, dollar signs, stars and more. Golfdotz are proudly made in the U.S.A. and are the only product of their kind. Ultimately, Golfdotz offer multiple features and benefits, as they:

  • Allow golfers to easily identify their golf balls within the playing environment, or when searching for them in a hazard.
  • May be used as alignment aid when putting (one design features alignment arrows specifically for this purpose), and can also be an indicator of true or untrue roll while the ball is in motion on the green.
  • Keep golfers loose and confident by allowing them to have fun with designs that reflect their personal style.
  • Zero-profile design does not impact the flight or performance of golf balls.

Golfdotz are very easy to apply. The user simply cuts one out from the sheet, removes the backing paper and presses the design firmly onto any golf ball for about 10 seconds. Once transferred, the design bonds cleanly with the ball’s surface and has zero profile. Designs can withstand a serious beating from woods and irons, and Poole says that “most people will lose their ball before they lose their Golfdotz.”

Custom Golfdotz are available for businesses and organizations. For example, Poole recently produced a run of custom Golfdotz packs for the Hanshin Tigers, one of Japan’s top professional baseball teams.

“Individual style is becoming a big part of golf,” Poole said. “With Golfdotz, golfers now have an affordable way to bring their individual style to the most important component of the game—the golf ball.”
